Jerusalem day 2

We went to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park today and saw both excavated and reconstructed steps leading up to the temple mount. Not allowed up there of course.

Trying to show how things keep getting built up on top of everything. You have to go down several stories to get to the time of Jesus.

We also went to see Hezekiah’s tunnel which allowed access to Gihon Spring. Quite interesting, challenging, and fun to wade through the wet tunnel.

Very important (and required) to bring a flashlight.  There’s no lighting except for what you bring with you.

We also spent some time in the Jewish quarter of the old city seeing a variety of locations. Surprising to also see some cars getting around inside. The streets are very narrow.
